Industry Progress

The computing power interconnection network and computing power centers together form the most important infrastructure in the era of artificial intelligence.

  • Computing power interconnection network

  • China Domestic policies

  • Standardization progress

Computing power interconnection network

Compared to traditional optical transport networks, the Internet plus faces three major challenges:

  • The networking delay within a range of 100km is less than 1ms.

  • Larger transmission capacity to cope with the explosive growth of bandwidth demand, while supporting dynamic allocation of computing resources and hard slicing.

    02
  • For complex fault scenarios, rapid business scheduling is supported to achieve recovery of major faults within 50 milliseconds, ensuring the intelligent computing efficiency of computing resources.

China Domestic policies

  • On May 21, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Action Plan for Computing Power Interconnection and Interoperability" (MIIT XG [2025] No. 119),

    Keptek
    01
  • proposing to establish a relatively complete system of standards, identifiers, and rules for computing power interconnection and interoperability by 2026; and to basically achieve standardized interconnection of national public computing power by 2028,

    Keptek
    02
  • gradually forming a computing power internet with intelligent perception, real-time discovery, and on-demand access.

Standardization progress

In August 2025, the National Technical Committee on Data Standardization released two key documents:

  • "Technical Requirements for Computing Power Pooling in the National Integrated Computing Power Network - Intelligent Computing Center" and "Security Protection Requirements for the National Integrated Computing Power Network".

    Keptek
    01
  • This marked the completion of all nine technical standards for the national integrated computing power network, officially entering the implementation and application phase.

    02
  • Recently, at the ITU-T SG13 meeting, two important standards in the field of computing power networks, led by China Telecom, were officially adopted.

    Keptek
    03
  • This marks the international consensus on the definition of key terms related to computing power and computing power networks, laying a crucial foundation for the accelerated promotion and collaborative development of the international standard system for computing power networks.
